Our Founding Fathers were courageous enough to go up against the British army and navy (at that time, the world's greatest) to gain freedom. Prior to the Declaration of Independence, the clergy were in the forefront of proclaiming the message of freedom and revolution. Now we are on the verge of losing that freedom, why isn't the clergy in the forefront of proclaiming that message?
I applaud the few clergymen, Catholic and Protestant, who are preaching we should not cast our vote for a candidate who's morals are against everything that we, as Christians, believe in. Our Catholic friends are boldly decrying the immorality of the current administration's forcing religious organizations to pay for abortions and birth control, etc. It is my understanding, a message has been read or shown on video about this subject in their congregations. They are facing the loss of their "tax exempt" status and fines by defying the mandate handed down by the current administration. This will cost them millions of dollars and some membership, but they are taking a stand.
Now, how about all our Protestant friends getting on the band wagon to preach/teach one simple message... Do not vote for a candidate who has morals that do not meet the basic moral values of the Christian community.
