Harold Lee Hansen Jr.

Harold Lee Hansen, Jr., 64, of Walker, W.Va., passed away on June 27, 2012, after a long bout with cancer.

His CB handle was Cowboy. He loved his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and horseback riding. He was a Vietnam veteran. Harold was born on August 26, 1947 in Vienna, W.Va., the son of the late Harold Lee Hansen Sr. and Anna Arlene (Oliver) Hansen of Parkersburg.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debra Sue (Carr) Hansen of Walker; a daughter, Barbra "Barbie" Ann Shelton (Bennie) of Belton, Texas; two sons, Harold Lee Hansen III (Casi Brooke (Farley)) and William Evert Hansen, all of Walker; a daughter, Heather Nicole (Hansen) McIntire (David Andrew) of Walker; three sisters, Kathryn Darlene (Oliver) Berish of Walker, Julia Ann (Hansen) Burdett of Parkersburg and Diane Michelle (Hansen) Duckworth (Ronald) of Mineral Wells; a brother-in-law, John E. Carr; sisters-in-law, Carla Jean Powell and Lori Francis (Carr) Hart, both of Belpre, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Amber Dawn Hansen.

Harold has chose to donate his body to science.

A memorial cookout will be held in Harold's honor at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Mountwood Park with military honors by American Legion Post 15. Harold will be greatly missed by all that knew him. It is with a heavy heart that we say We Love you and Good Bye.
