Douglas M. Rexroad

Douglas Michael Rexroad, 60, of Parkersburg, passed away at his residence under the loving care of his family and Amedysis Hospice.

He was born in Portsmouth, Va., the son of William F. Rexroad of Parkersburg and the late Roberta F. Bradley Rexroad. He was a member of Parkersburg Masonic Lodge #169, Ben Bey Grotto, Nemesis Temple, Clown Unit, Motorized Unit, RO-J Parkersburg Court #156, Ohio Valley Shrine Club, Moose Lodge #1118, Eagles Lodge # 2307 and American Legion Post #15. He and his family attended Vienna Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, Doug is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dory Green Rexroad; son, Douglas Michael Rexroad II and Stephanie; daughter, Heather Burrell and Jeff, all of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Isabella, Stephen, Zach, Brandon, Lilly and Allie; sisters, Susie Snyder of Parkersburg and Judy Haynes of Alabama; and one niece and one nephew.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Rev. William R. Thomas and Rev. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen North Cemetery with Masonic Services by Lodge #169 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and from noon-1 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.

The family wishes to thank Amedysis Hospice for all their care and concern during Doug's illness.
