Vernon "Vern" Eugene Stewart, II, 37, of St. Marys, W.Va., husband of Trudi Seevers Stewart for eight years, passed away May 23, 2012, at UPMC in Pittsburgh.
He was born on Nov. 3, 1974, in Marietta, Ohio, a son of Vernon Eugene and Charlotte Alice Whittenmeyer Stewart. He was a 1993 graduate of St. Marys High School and earned his chemical operator certificate. Vern was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 41 A.F. & A.M. and was a member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, football, wrestling, baseball with his son, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors other than his wife and parents include a son, Harley Eugene Stewart, who was born on Vern's birthday; step-daughter, Brianna Michelle Wilson; one sister, Sheryl Ann (George) Locke; one nephew, Austin Mitchell Locke; one niece, Chloe Louise Locke; three aunts, Jenette (Dick) Powell, Gladys Dye (Scott) Murray, and Margaret Ann Delancy; one uncle, Don Francis; and mother-in-law, Sandra Seevers. He was preceded in death by father-in-law, Donald Seevers; grandparents, Bernard and Louise Weekly Stewart; grandmother, Mae Frances; and an uncle, Junior Robinson.
Services will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Ingram Funeral Home with Dave Williamson officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. today, and 3:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
