The tragedy of abortion

April 29, 2012
Parkersburg News and Sentinel

The tragedy of abortion in the United States of America is staggering. With more than 55 million legal abortions since 1973, nearly 3,300 are performed each and every day or one every 26 seconds. Abortion has killed more unborn children than all those who died in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World Wars I and II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Persian Gulf War and the war on terrorism combined.

Most Americans know abortion has gone too far. The precious feet pins so many of us wear, show tiny human feet at 11 weeks that are perfectly formed. Yet abortion is legal for all nine months of pregnancy. Some candidates support abortion for any reason. The Democrat Party holds a woman's right to choose as part of their party's platform.

Be sure to exercise your right to vote on May 8, and before you vote, find out where the candidates really stand on abortion and human life. A vote for a pro-abortion candidate is a vote against unborn babies. Please vote only for pro-life candidates, even if your ballot says you can vote for more.

Vote as if life depends on it because it does!

"I set before you life and death... Choose life therefore, that you and your descendants may live." -Deuteronomy 30:19
