KIDWELL - Calhoun County sophomore Ryan Slider knocked down 9 of 11 foul shots and finished with a game-high 15 points to help the Red Devils topple Tyler Consolidated, 51-48, here Thursday night.
The win for the Red Devils, which came during the Little Kanawha Conference 13th place contest, snapped a 41-game losing streak for head coach Danny Bunch, whose squad made 19 of 26 from the charity stripe.
Calhoun County, now 1-19 like Tyler Consolidated, also received 10 points from Mason Sheldon and nine markers apiece by Caleb Schoolcraft and Ricky Hall.
The Silver Knights, set to play host to Weir on Monday, were paced in the scoring department by Dylan Romine's baker's dozen.

RAVENSWOOD -Three players axccounted for all but two of Ravenswood's points as the Red Devils defeated Clay County 69-55 in the LKC fifth place game on Thursday night.
Jeremy Lawrence led Ravenswood (11-9) with 24 points, while Zack Martin added 22 points. Teammate Ben Pannell finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
Travis Morris scored a game-high 13 points for Clay County (11-9).
Ritchie County 78, Wirt County 58
ELLENBORO -Ryder Bolin had a career night after scoring 34 points in Ritchie County's 78-58 win against Wirt County in the LKC ninth-place game on Thursday night.
Bolin scored nine points in the second quarter as Ritchie County (9-10) took a 32-25 lead into intermission. The senior poured in another 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Rebels sealed the victory by outscoring the Tigers 26-18.
Also scoring in double figures for Ritchie County were D.J. Burgess with 19 points and Paige Haught with 17 points.
Matt Roberts led Wirt County with 21 points.
South Harrison 51,
Doddridge County 33
WEST UNION -South Harrison limited Doddridge County to 14 first-half points and defeated the Bulldogs 51-33 in the LKC 11th place game on Thursday night.
Four players scored in double figures for South Harrison (5-14), including Luke Groves with a game-high 14 points.
Shane Yeater led Doddridge County (4-15) with 12 points.
