Jim Mylott and Marilyn Pasquarelli of Vienna, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Eckman Mylott of Portland, Ore., to Grant Michael Morehead, also of Portland.
The bride-to-be is the also the daughter of the late DiAnne Mylott. She is the granddaughter of the late Lois Cook of Parkersburg and the late Frances Mylott of New Haven, Conn.
She is a 1997 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She is a 2001 graduate of Marlboro College with a bachelor's degree in American studies, a 2006 graduate of State University of New York with a master's degree in regional planning and a master's degree in geography and is set to graduate in December from Portland State University with a doctorate in urban studies. She is employed by the Institute of Portland Metropolitan Studies.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Dr. Michael and Linda Morehead of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Carl Morehead of Parkersburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Minor of Parkersburg. He is a 1996 graduate of Parkersburg High School, a 2000 graduate of Haverford College with a bachelor's degree in biology and a 2006 graduate of Portland State University with a master's degree in urban and regional planning. He is employed by the City of Portland in policy and infrastructure development.
A Sept. 3 wedding is planned in Portland.
